International Baccalaureate Program IB

In accordance with Texas Education Code Section 51.968, students who have completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program will receive a minimum of 24 semester credit hours of lower-division credit based on Standard-Level and Higher-Level examinations with scores of 4 or higher. Fewer than 24 semester credit hours may be awarded if a student earns a score below 4 on one or more examinations administered as part of the diploma program. In such cases, the determination of credit awarded for examinations with scores of 3 or lower will be made at the discretion of the appropriate college advisor or the academic department offering the student’s major.

Students who complete IB coursework but do not earn the IB Diploma will receive credit only for Higher-Level examinations with scores of 4 or higher.

The following table lists the current IB examinations approved for credit.
