COMD 4370 Introduction to Speech Sound Disorders

This course provides an overview of speech sound disorders, including their development, classification, and characteristics. Emphasis is placed on differentiating typical and disordered speech patterns, and on principles of assessment and intervention. Students will learn approaches to speech sound disorder intervention that they may be expected to provide in clinical practice.
