PBHL 4340 Ethical Perspectives on Climate, Health, and Environmental Justice
This interdisciplinary course explores ethical perspectives on climate change, environmental justice, and public health, with a focus on colonial legacies and contemporary global inequities. Students will critically analyze the environmental and health impacts of climate change, resource exploitation, and conflict—particularly in the Global South—and consider the moral responsibilities of individuals, communities, and nations. Through readings, case studies, and multimedia resources, the course fosters skills in ethical reasoning, policy analysis, and community engagement.
