PBHL 3330 Introduction to Rural Population Health

This course provides an overview of rural health, principally in the United States, from a population health perspective. Many facets are addressed including but not limited to: consumer health, environmental health, mental health and substance abuse, disease prevention/health promotion, health systems, and variations of health outcomes across population sub-groups. The course is supplemented with hands-on examination of population health data across rural counties in the U.S.
