CRIJ 4317 Inside Out

This course bridges the gap between academic learning and the realities of the criminal justice system. Specifically, the course is designed to start a dialogue between incarcerated individuals (inside students) and future professionals of criminal justice (outside students). Topics include criminological theory, justice, punishment, and correctional philosophy. Students must complete the required application and be an approved volunteer through the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) prior to participating.
