COMD 3318 Acquisition of Communication Abilities in Children
This course serves as an introduction to assessment procedures and treatment strategies for children with speech and language disorders. It is designed to provide a solid foundation in current research and theories regarding the development of communication abilities in children, as well as communication changes relevant to adolescents. It imparts the ability to discuss and apply the various theoretical perspectives and recognize examples of communication development in the everyday behavior of children, as well as the basic techniques that are used to analyze and understand speech and language performance.

COMD 3306 with a grade of at least C, and
COMD 3311 with a grade of at least C.
