Appealing an Admission Decision
Students who do not meet the minimal admission requirements, or who have special ability, experience, or other circumstances to demonstrate readiness for college level work may petition for admission by scheduling an appointment with an admissions counselor and submitting an application for appeal form and supporting documentation to the Enrollment Services Center, ADM 230. Consideration will be given to the individual’s involvement and level of responsibility in extracurricular activities and involvement in responsible, non-academic affairs including employment and family responsibilities; status as a first generation college student; English not first language; socioeconomic background, and other extenuating circumstances. Petitions for special admission to the university must receive approval from the Admissions Appeal Committee prior to registration.
